3. Biography:

Bob Kerrey, a former Member of the 9/11 Commission (National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States), is currently President of The New School, an alternative New York City university founded on strong democratic ideals and daring educational practices. 

He has a long and diverse career history beginning as a Restaurant Entrepreneur, and rising to become Governor and then Senator to the state of Nebraska.

Kerrey also served in the U.S. Army as a Navy SEAL during the Vietnam war. During his period of service, Kerrey was awarded The Bronze Star for his involvement in an operation against a Viet Cong affiliated village called Thanh Phong.

He is currently in negotiations to become the Head of the Motion Picture Association of America when he steps down from the Presidency of The New School.
