3. Biography: | Thomas Powers is a journalist and author on the topics of intelligence and terrorism.
After graduating from Yale University with a degree in English in 1964, Powers worked as a newspaper journalist then a freelance writer. He won the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1971 along with Lucinda Franks for their piece on revolutionary Diana Oughton, titled “Making of a Terrorist.” Dating back to 1970 through the present, Powers has written for numerous publications including New York Review of Books, The New York Times Book Review, Harper’s, The Nation, The Atlantic, and Rolling Stone, along with several books. |
