1. Name: Thomas Kean
2. Title: Chairman of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
3. Biography: Thomas Kean was a Member of the New Jersey Assembly from 1968-1977 and served as Republican Governor of New Jersey for two terms from 1982 to 1990. In 1988, Kean delivered the keynote address at the Republican National Convention.

In 1990, Kean became President of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, and served from 1990 to 2002. While President of Drew, Kean served on several national committees and commissions, including the American Delegation to the UN Conference on Youth in Thailand, the American Delegation to the World Conference on Women in Beijing, the President’s Initiative on Race, and the National Endowment for Democracy.

On Dec. 16, 2002, Kean was named by President George W. Bush to head the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (the 9-11 Commission) and served as Chairman of the Commission from 2002 to 2004.
