3. Biography | In 1990, Ron Suskind became a staff writer for The Wall Street Journal, and was promoted to Senior National Affairs Reporter for that paper in 1993, a position he held until 2000. He was the recipient of a Pulitzer Prize in 1995 for “Feature Writing.”
In 2004, Suskind’s book The Price of Loyalty revealed that the Iraq War was planned during President George W. Bush’s first National Security Council meeting in Jan. 2001. In 2006, Suskind went on to publish The One Percent Doctrine, which uncovered Vice President Dick Cheney’s “one percent doctrine,” the secret foundation of America’s foreign policy since 9/11. Suskind often appears on network television, and currently writes for Time magazine, The New York Times Magazine, and Esquire. He is also a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Dartmouth College. |
