Raymond Ibrahim is a widely published author on the topic of radical Islam and a regular contributor to such media networks as Fox News Channel, C-SPAN, Reuters, Al-Jazeera, NPR, CBN, and PBS on this topic. He is also a guest lecturer at the National Defense Intelligence College, and he regularly briefs governmental agencies, such as the U.S. Strategic Command, the Department of State, and the Defense Intelligence Agency. In early 2009, “Ibrahim testified before the U.S. House of Representatives’ House Armed Services Committee regarding the educational and epistemological failures that dominate American discourse concerning Islam.” From 2003-2009, Ibrahim was a Reference Assistant at the Library of Congress, working closely with Middle East language materials, primarily Arabic, and has provided reference assistance to defense and intelligence personnel involved in the fields of radical Islam, as well as for the Congressional Research Service. He has written numerous articles and essays on radical Islam and terrorism for such publications as the Chronicle of Higher Education, Middle East Review of International Affairs, Middle East Quarterly, Jane’s Islamic Affairs Analyst, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The New York Times Syndicate and United Press International, among many others. Ibrahim is fluent in Arabic, including colloquial dialects. |
