3. Biography: | Lawrence F. Kaplan re-launched World Affairs, an international relations quarterly, with Publisher James Denton in 2008 and was the publication’s Editor until May 2010.
Prior to launching World Affairs, Kaplan was the Senior Editor at the New Republic. He wrote about U.S. foreign policy and, between 2004 and 2006, he reported six times from Iraq. Prior to the New Republic, he was Executive Editor of the National Interest, a foreign policy journal published by Irving Kristol. Kaplan also writes foreign policy articles for the Financial Times, Washington Foreign Post, The Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard Policy, Slate, and the Los Angeles Times. Kaplan is currently a Merrill Fellow in Strategic Studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. |
