Lary Bloom is a writer of nonfiction and fiction, plays, lyrics, magazine pieces and journalistic columns. He worked as an editor for most of his professional career, editing Sunday newspapers such as the Hartford Courant, Miami Herald, and the Akron Beach Journal. He is now a writing instructor at Trinity College. In 2007, Bloom co-authored, with Christopher Dodd, Letters from Nuremberg: My Father’s Narrative of a Quest for Justice, and in 2009 he co-authored The Test of Our Times: American Under Siege…And How We Can Be Safe Again with Tom Ridge. Bloom’s latest play, “Wild Black Yonder,” premiered at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, in Connecticut, in 2009. |
