John F. Lehman bio

John F. Lehman was a Member of the 9/11 Commission. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 25 years then continued his career in the public sector as a Staff Member of Henry Kissinger, and the Deputy Director of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. He was the Secretary of the Navy from 1981 to 1987.

Lehman has worked in the private sector as an investment banker. He was an advisor to John McCain during the 2008 presidential election. He currently serves as the Chairman of J.F. Lehman & Company. He is also a Chairman and Director of several other companies, including Atlantic Marine, Inc., and the Ball Corporation.
