At a Victory rally in Holland, Michigan the President had this to say, “Despite ongoing acts of violence, Iraq now has a strong Prime Minister, a national council, and national elections are scheduled in January. We’re standing with the people in those countries, because when America gives its word, America must keep its word. And by standing with them, we’re also serving a vital and historic cause that will make our country safer. See, free societies in the Middle East will be hopeful societies, which no longer feed resentments or breed violence for export. Free governments in the Middle East will fight terrorists, instead of harboring them, and that helps us keep us safe.”
