8/7/1998

On August 7, 1998, “eight years to the day after U.S. troops were first sent into Saudi Arabia, a suicide truck bomb detonated outside the U.S. embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, on the precise spot where [al Qaeda operative/FBI informant] Ali Mohamed had taken the pictures [as part of a reconnaissance project for al Qaeda]. Within minutes, a similar bomb exploded in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania…Between the two bombings, 224 were killed and four thousand were injured.”
