“Within months of the 9/11 attack, Congress announced that a joint panel combining the House and Senate Intelligence Committees would investigate the biggest mass murder in U.S. history. Known as the ‘Joint Inquiry,’ the committees spent ten months covering thirty years of intelligence failures. They left out whole sections of the government–including the executive branch–and issued an 858-page report in July [24] 2003 that was heavily redacted. An entire twenty-eight page section on the Saudis and their possible participation in the attacks was left blank.”
