In what the Feds dubbed the Day of Terror plot, the devices were intended to explode simultaneously at a dozen locations around Manhattan including the George Washington Bridge, United Nations headquarters, the two tunnels connecting the city with New Jersey–even the building that housed the FBI’s New York office.” Sheikh Rahman and the others were arrested on July 24, 1993.
