“On the night of July 17 [1996], TWA Flight 800 took off from John F. Kennedy airport with 230 passengers and crew aboard, bound for Paris. The 747 was identical to the PAL Flight 434 aircraft that [World Trade Center bomber Ramzi] Yousef had used for his Bojinka plot ‘wet test’ in 1994.” Off the coast of Long Island, “an ‘event’ occurred in the area of the center wing fuel tank that caused the tank to explode.” The combination of the explosion and ensuing crash killed everyone on board. “The cockpit voice and data recorder showed no hint of any mechanical cause for the crash. There had been no ‘Mayday’ from the crew…The next morning after the crash, on July 18, 1996, just as he had told [FBI informant] Greg Scarpa Jr. (as recorded in the FBI 302 of March 5, 1996), Yousef asked Judge Kevin Duffy to declare a mistrial. …Any Fed who had access to Scarpa’s warnings, captured for prosperity in those FBI 302s, had to know that…the crash of TWA Flight 800 had everything to do with the Bojinka case.”
