According to a Senior Executive Intelligence Brief titled, ‘Terrorism: Bin Laden Planning High Profile Attacks [Excised]’ on June 30, 2001: “Operatives linked to Usama Bin Ladin’s organization [al-Qa’ida] expect the near-term attacks they are planning to have dramatic consequences, such as [redacted] major casualties. [Redacted] uproar in two weeks. [Redacted] Arabian Peninsula as a likely venue for an anti-US attack. [Redacted] Yemen [redacted] Kuwait and Bahrain. Attacks on targets in Israel, Jordan, and Europe could also occur. [Redacted] Events such as [redacted] the G-8 summit in Genoa [Italy] next month would be inviting targets.”
