“On February 26 [1993], [terrorist Ramzi] Yousef and Ismail Najim, an associate who had flown up from Texas to take part in the operation, drove a rented white Ford Econoline van to the World Trade Center and parked it in the B-2 level of the underground garage. At 12:17 pm, the device exploded. It killed six people and injured a thousand others, but failed to accomplish its intended mission of knocking down both of the Twin Towers…Also involved was the Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel Rahman. The Al-Kifah Refugee Center in Brooklyn…was now the New York outpost of Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda’s operation.”
