Former FBI translator Sibel “Edmonds, who had top secret clearance with the Bureau, now charges that the FBI had prior knowledge of the 9/11 attacks–proof, in fact, that al Qaeda was going to attack the United States with aircraft. In an interview with the British newspaper the Independent, Edmonds revealed that she testified to this in a closed-door session before the 9/11 Commission on February 11 [2004]. ‘I gave [the commission] details of specific investigation files,’ she said, ‘the specific dates, specific target information, specific managers in charge of the investigation. I gave them everything so that they could go back and follow up. This is not hearsay. These things are documented.’ ”
