In Manila, Philippines, on January 7, 1995, World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef’s cohort, Abdul Hakim Murad, takes off running from police. When officer Aida Fariscal searches Murad’s room, she is “shocked to find a picture of the pope [John Paul II], priest’s cassocks, a map of the pontiff’s [upcoming] parade route, and a laboratory of chemicals and bombs in various stages of construction. She also finds Yousef’s Toshiba laptop, which lays out the entire Bojinka plot to blow up 11 U.S. jumbo jets.” Captain Fariscal has “found the lair of Ramzi Yousef, the world’s most wanted man.”
