“On November 23 [2002], [suspected 20th hijacker Mohammed] al-Qahtani was brought in shackles to a plywood interrogation booth, where his hood was removed, and he was bolted to the floor. For forty-eight of the next fifty-four consecutive days, he was allowed only four hours of sleep a night. …Qahtani was also forced to strip naked, wear a leash, and perform dog tricks. He was forced to wear a bra, and thong underwear on his head. He was deprived of the opportunity to use a toilet after having been forced-fed liquids intravenously.”
