On October 29, 2004, a new videotape by Osama bin Laden was aired on Al Jazeera. In it, he said: ” ‘As you spoil our security, we will do so to you. …Your security is not in the hands of [Democratic presidential candidate John] Kerry or [President] Bush or Al Qaeda. Your security is in your own hands. Any nation that does not attack us will not be attacked.’ ”
