The Office of Inspector General released an Inspection Report on the CIA’s counterterrorism effort in October 1994. Regarding the sharing of information between the FBI and CIA, it read: “In one [redacted] interviews with CIA officers revealed that the FBI would not tell the CIA station what terrorist groups it was concerned about. In another [redacted] indicated that mistrust adversely affects information sharing and cooperation on counterterrorist programs. If poor cooperation leads to a failure to provide information that could have been used to preempt a terrorist incident in the United States, the results could be tragic.” [The 15th of the month used for date sorting purposes only.]
