Speaking at the Thaddeus McCotter for Congress Dinner, President George W. Bush stated: “Military option is my last choice. It’s not my — it’s the last thing I want to do, is commit our military. My first choice is for Saddam Hussein to do what he said he would do, and after 11 years, disarm. I doubt he’s going to do that, but it’s his choice to make. See, he gets to make the choice. The United Nations needs to make a choice — whether it will be the League of Nations or the United Nations, whether it will be an empty debating society or a group of countries who have got the capacity and the will and the backbone to help keep the peace. Their choice to make.”
