3. Biography:

David Corn is the author of several fiction and nonfiction books and is currently the Washington Bureau Chief of the magazine Mother Jones. Prior to working at Mother Jones, Corn was the Washington editor of The Nation from 1987 to 2007.

In 1994, Corn wrote his first book Blond Ghost, which was a biography of CIA official Ted Shackley. After moving to fiction with a contribution to a collection of crime stories titled Unusual Suspects and 1999’s crime thriller Deep Background, he wrote 2003’s The Lies of George W. Bush: Mastering the Politics of Deception. While the book accused George W. Bush of “deliberately, consistently, and repeatedly” lying on a number of issues, his 2006 book Hubris: The Inside Story of Spin, Scandal, and the Selling of the Iraq War, co-written with Michael Isikoff, focuses on President Bush misleading the American public leading up to the Iraq War.

Corn is a frequent guest on numerous television and radio shows. He can be seen regularly on Hardball, the Rachel Maddow Show, and National Public Radio. He was also a Fox News contributor and regular panelist on the PBS show Eye on Washington.
