"In April 1993, Kuwaiti intelligence uncovered a plot to kill former President George [H.W.] Bush. Bush was in Kuwait to receive an award for liberating that nation during the 1991 Gulf War. But his Gulf War enemy, Saddam Hussein, had other plans. Iraqi intelligence had supervised the construction of a massive car bomb to be detonated near the forty-first president's motorcade. Kuwaiti police later arrested fourteen men, many of whom had links to Iraqi intelligence." [The 15th of the month used for date sorting purposes only.]
